A Lifetime of Service
The love Richard and Joan held for missions wasn’t just a hobby; it was a calling that defined their lives. They understood that the Great Commission isn’t just about crossing oceans—it’s about opening hearts. Their unwavering commitment to supporting those on the front lines is the very reason MSI exists today.
A Living Tribute in Kenya
We are moved to share that their legacy is physically represented at a new hospital clinic in Kisumu, Kenya. One entire floor has been dedicated to Richard and Joan. In a place where mothers receive life-saving prenatal care and families find healing, their names stand as a testament to a simple truth: One family’s “yes” to God can impact generations. Every time a healthy baby is born on that floor, the love Richard and Joan had for the world continues to ripple outward.

Carrying the Torch
We are blessed to stand on the shoulders of such faithful servants. As we continue to support widows and orphans, train pastors in Africa, Brazil, and the Philippines, and share the Gospel in Arizona and beyond, we carry their fire with us.

Ministry Spotlight – January 2026
The ministry of LIGHTNINGS OF GOD MINISTRIES INTERNATIONAL received support from us to help complete the 4th floor of the hospital featured in this newsletter.
Lightnings of God Ministries Int’l. (LOGMIN) is a powerful Missionary-Evangelistic organization that has been in operation since 1993 and is expanding the globe to bridge the gap between God and man. The anointing is manifest to bring strength to the Body of Christ through the preaching and teaching of God’s Word and reaching the lost with the unfailing Love of Jesus Christ. Kenneth and Angel are deeply committed to carrying the Gospel of Jesus Christ to the world. The power and prophetic gifts of the Spirit have been and are expected to be in manifestation in the meetings as they seek to bring the people of God to their place of authority and victory in God. Kenneth and Angel are a husband and wife team called of God to bring the message of deliverance, salvation, faith, anointing and prosperity.
Lightnings of God Ministries began working extensively in Kenya East Africa in January 1994. From that time, the ministry has conducted open air crusades from which new churches have been planted. Rev. Harbaum is taking teams of pastors, missionaries, evangelists and teachers into Kenya to assist in crusades and leadership training. The ministry also conducts teaching seminars as well as leadership training conferences for pastors and ministers. We have recently acquired land in Kenya and are building a Ministry Training Center.
Reverend Harbaum travels from coast to coast holding revival meetings, seminars, conferences and youth rallies. In these meetings, lives are transformed and the Glory of God is revealed.
