We rejoice in the Lord for the new churches started here the past few months and we know the Lord is continuing to use His humble pastors who are working so hard for souls. We have six new churches so far this year in this province, five of which are in mountainous areas and one is in a town. The town congregation is in Siaton, and it was just started this month, and has a few families!
In my last letter, I mentioned the new churches in Tagaytay, Guba, and Ataatahan. These are all very interior in rugged places! Our pioneering pastors have also opened new churches in Eli, Jimalalud and Camsampuyo.
The six new churches are going on and growing, although four of them don’t yet have a church building. Some are using plastic sheeting to cover the people from the rain or sun.
The roads are very muddy now, and hardly passable, due to the very heavy monsoon rains during these months. But the pastors are so determined that they sacrifice themselves on these roads. I was happy this month to buy a “Sky Go” motorcycle for one of the pastors who handles churches in three distant mountain villages! Our motto here is “No Retreat! No Surrender!”
