It’s so good to serve God and exalt Him among the nations! Thank you for your prayers for God’s work here in the Philippines! We are happy to share victories again with you!
Last month, I made a trip to Mindanao where I travelled from north to south in Zamboanga del Norte and Zamboanga del Sur, visiting our Christian Fellowship Churches and speaking at our pastors’ fellowship meeting in the mountain village of Bermuda, Tungawan, in the high mountains. It was a busy six day trip going from church to church and spending time with our pastors. It was also quite an adventure travelling on the bus and on the back of a motorcycle to reach the far, far places where a car couldn’t go!
The areas where I went were infiltrated by a faction of the Abu Sayaf rebel group, and there were many Muslims there. But the island is under martial law and there were frequent military check points along the way! So we felt so safe! At one critical place, a Philippine army soldier boarded our bus and checked all the passengers to see their identity papers! It was really an unforgettable experience to travel to those far towns and villages! We had a wonderful pastors’ fellowship up in the top of the mountains and everyone was so encouraged! The pastors also came from far places to be together, riding their motorcycles over the rocky and muddy roads!
We thank God for His Spirit uniting us in one to serve Him. I praise God for always protecting me and bringing me safely to my destination! Coming back to Negros Island on the inter-island ship’ I just made it home one day ahead of a strong hurricane!
