A LOT happened in 2022.
Here is one story. Junior represents hundreds of people in Brazil and Mexico who encountered Jesus as their Savior and Deliverer in 2022. Thank you for making this possible.
Meet Junior…
Junior
The Brazilian pastor had driven us around for an hour in an attempt to find a “good place” to preach on the street. We finally stopped in a neighborhood with NO people out of their homes … you read that right… NO people. Now granted, the reason no one is on the streets is because the drug dealer runs the neighborhood and the people are too scared to leave their houses (but they do listen and respond from their doorways and windows!). We stopped the truck, and with all of our hearts, we proclaimed the Good News over the very loud sound system as if we were surrounded by hundreds of people. Someone looking on could have called us foolish (preaching the Gospel to a seemingly “empty street”).
BUT God, in His great kindness, led us to that street on that day at that exact time as Junior was walking toward us as we finished. Dejected and completely broken, Junior explained that he had lost everything important in his life because of his drug use and sin. His girlfriend, fed up with his behavior, had just left him, taking their baby with her. He had contemplated suicide many times in the past few days. Totally desperate, Junior left his house to “look for someone to help him”… just as we pulled up in that Gospel truck. Isn’t God so good?
Junior encountered Jesus that day because we said YES to being OUT on the streets and then YOU made it possible through your giving. Jesus, the Good Shepherd goes looking for the one lost sheep. Junior repented of his sin, was born-again, and received deliverance right then and there from addiction and suicide! Glory to God!
P.S. Junior, like hundreds of others, was immediately connected with a local pastor who is helping and discipling him.)
