Dear Friends,
“Great is the Lord and most worthy of praise; His greatness no one can fathom!” Psalm 145:3
At the beginning of the virus situation, so frustrated by what we COULDN’T do for the people in Mexico and Cuba, Jes and I felt led to say, “We will help who we CAN help, where we CAN, when we CAN, and in whatever way that we CAN, as God opens doors and directs us.”
Because of your faithfulness in praying and giving, right in the middle of a pandemic, here is what has been happening. To God be the glory, great things HE has done. I am blown away. It doesn’t really make sense on paper but here goes… just between March and now:
· WE HAVE PLANTED 3 BRAND NEW CHURCHES IN CUBA!
· WE ARE FEEDING SO MANY PEOPLE IN PUERTO ESCONDIDO AND THE MOUNTIANS OF OAXACA! We have sent finances multiple times for BIG food boxes for all of our staff and families at Instituto Alfa. Also to Pastor Manuel to feed people in the mountain villages of Mechoacán and El Mosco…All delivered WITH the Good News of Jesus. GDM also paid for the Zoom costs and other curriculum costs as Instituto Alfa went to all virtual classes in March.
· WE ARE HELPING A PASTOR FINISH HIS EDUCATION! Ruben Merino and his wife have a marriage ministry, he teaches Music, English, and Spanish at the Roca Blanca Bible School. Ruben is one semester away from finishing his degree in adult education and English. Due to the COVID-19 shut down there, he lost several streams of income that he used to pay for his schooling (private music lessons, leading worship at churches, teaching seminars). But, because of your generosity, GDM was able to step in to provide for his final semester!
Total given away to these projects in just four months = $13,412.00!!! Yes, you read that right. Are you crying? Because I am crying… God is so good and His people are beautiful. Thank you, thank you so much for praying and giving.
