Christian Fellowship Church of the Philippines, Newsletter July 2025
“Let them praise the Name of the Lord, for His Name alone is excellent; His Glory is above the earth and heaven.” Psalm 148:13
Greetings in the Name of our Lord Jesus Christ. All glory to His Name! We are so happy to share once more with you our victories in serving Him! And we trust that you are also receiving great blessing in your daily service to Him!
We celebrated our 7th church anniversary on July 26 in the village of Guba, Vallehermosa! This is a small mountain village in the far mountains of northeast Negros Island. The narrow, rugged road ends there at the edge of a cliff with many valley’s of green stretching out to the horizon! It is truly beautiful and that’s why it’s called Valley Beautiful! The Christian Fellowship Church was started there seven years ago on the edge of a cliff, with a small church building made of bamboo! Thank God, it has continued and grown over the years as many souls have been added. However, the old bamboo structure has been eaten by termites over the years. There was an urgent need to build a new cement block building of worship! Then, thank God, recently a generous couple donated a parcel of their land to the church so a new house of worship could be built! We started by cutting down coconut trees in the lot to make a temporary fence and wood scaffolding for the new construction. Over the past few months, the foundation of the big building and the posts were put in place. It is a work of faith because the finances were limited! But it went on with many men, women and children donating their free time and labor! In addition, the back wall of the church platform was filled in with cement blocks! This is the project that I have shared pictures in the past of the layout and posts of the building. Now it has a metal roof, but still lacks walls and cement flooring, which we know the Lord will soon provide. Now I am happy to share pictures of the Anniversary Celebration which are attached below. Please join us in thanking God for making all these things possible! His glory is above the heaven and earth!
The church building project in Mabinay town is also going on and all the structure posts are in place! Soon the roof will be going up here, as well! The work is long here because of the very rocky area which in some places we had to use a jack hammer to remove the hard limestone rocks. We’re happy for the progress here, too!
Thank you so much for your prayer and finances for the work of building churches here. May God return more blessings to you!
