“Endeavoring to keep the Unity of the Spirit in the Bond of Peace” Ephesians 4:3. This was our theme for our Annual Christian Fellowship Church Pastors’ Convention held here in Dumaguete City on May 15-17. It was a wonderful convention!
We had several hundred pastors in attendance here at the Dumaguete Church, coming from several islands of the central and southern Philippines! What a joy it was to see so many of our dear pastors coming from far and near to enjoy the sweet fellowship of God’s people and His Word! Our hearts were full of joy and blessing to be together as a family once more and enjoy the fervent testimonies of victory from His People!
The first night of the Convention we held an Ordination Ceremony for 15 of our senior pastors who have been so committed in serving the Lord for so many years. They were so blessed to be honored in front of the whole congregation of hundreds of pastors. We called them to the front and laid hands on them to impart greater blessing and anointing in their already fruitful ministries. As we prayed the Spirit fell on us and some were slain in the Spirit. Thank God for these faithful and diligent workers. Of course, there are many other pastors already ordained, as well as more than a hundred licensed pastors. We thank the Lord for this big family of Christian Fellowship pastors!
On the second night of the convention, we held our annual Commencement Exercises for the graduates of our Divinity School, the Christian Fellowship School of Ministry. Eight graduates marched from the rear of the church to the front to be honored and receive their Certificates of Graduation. Their parents and family members were present for this happy time! One graduate gave a short Word from the Lord. They also sang a group song of their commitment to serve the Lord, and they all shared their testimonies. These fine men and women have been in local churches doing “field training” for one year. Thank God for sending laborers into His harvest field!
