Here is the latest update from Pastors Jes and Kristen Gray of Great Door Ministries! Thank you for praying for the team of Pastors that preached on the streets of Cipó, São Paulo, Brazil!
YOU are important to us, we love you, and we appreciate you!
GOSPEL TRUCKS: The Good News in the worst neighborhoods:
First, THANK YOU for praying. I know that you were so diligent to pray and fight for souls with us. The pastors in Cipo told us that for the last two months the people who practice Macumba witchcraft had been doing 3 times their usual number of rituals and spells to thwart the work of God. THAT is one reason why we needed your prayer covering. The police had to escort our main pastor and his family home from church after every service for a month because of the threats from the Macumba group! And yet as we were in the streets, hundreds and hundreds of people HEARD the Gospel, many for the very first time. Hundreds of people in their homes, hanging out of their windows and doors, leaning in to hear this beautiful Good News of Jesus. Afraid to leave their houses because of the drug dealers but listening and responding to Jesus. You see, JESUS comes to us, right where we are. THANK YOU for praying and thank you for giving and thank you for SENDING us to them. RIGHT THERE IN THE STREETS, I prayed with more than one drug dealer, we saw instantaneous physical healings, drug addicts laid down their crack pipes to surrender to Jesus, people were delivered from the spirit of suicide, single moms and old men all received Jesus as Savior! And all of them are being contacted by a pastor in their neighborhood who will disciple them. I truly cannot think of a more beautiful story to tell!
During the three nights of the crusade….
Night #1: we could feel both the excitement and passion of God’s people and the warfare going on in the heavenlies. After a clear Gospel message by Evangelist Samuel Hornle from Germany, the first guy to hit the altar grabbed a bag of drugs from his pocket and threw them down in repentance and surrender! There were a few people who responded to the altar call (maybe 10 all together), and we expected many more than that. I am being super transparent here… though we rejoiced over each soul, I was disappointed. I long to see the altars filled with lost people calling out to Jesus for salvation! So we kept praying, we asked you to pray… and on the second night…
Night #2: Jesus was lifted high, the crowd in the park was even bigger, a clear Gospel message was preached by Evangelist Brandon Butler from North Carolina, and at the altar… less people responded than the night before. Now look, we praised God for each person who was saved and healed. At the same time, I was disappointed. So, we went back to praying, fighting, and asking for your prayers!
Night #3: You were praying, and God answered! We were worshipping and the devil was put to flight! It happened to be me preaching that night, but that is not why things shifted. At first, just a handful of people started moving forward as I called for them to come to Jesus. But I knew what God wanted to do. So, I just closed my eyes and prayed out loud over the crowd for the Holy Spirit to do His work and when I opened my eyes the altars were filled, and more and more people kept coming! Both sinners and repentant church people calling upon Jesus saying, “Jesus, Make me clean!” It was beautiful, and Jesus alone receives the glory and the honor. After that, many people were filled with the Holy Spirit, healed, delivered from addictions, and so much joy filled that park as we all praised God for what He was doing!

There was such true unity among the pastors, and they were very excited. One said that without this event, they would not be walking or working together now. Another said that they could see and feel the heavens opening above the neighborhoods as we boldly proclaimed the Word of God there. And one pastor’s wife, Damaris, said that our work there was like John the Baptist opening or preparing the way for the Savior to step onto the scene. We are so humbled to serve these men and women of God who are laboring on the frontlines to win souls in their city! They are all committed to continue to work TOGETHER in the neighborhoods to see revival in their communities. May Jesus be GLORIFIED, hallelujah!
I can share more, but I will stop. I just really really want you to see what your praying and giving is doing! There is no super star here: ONLY JESUS. Together we get to proclaim His Word and represent His heart to people who so desperately need Him. And He shows up to transform them time and time again. HE IS WORTHY OF IT ALL!!!!!!!!!!!!
Thank you.
We love you,
Jes and Kristen
